Joann Boland Scholarship

Karla, LCP 22.23 of AIESEC Miami was the most recent winner!

The JoAnn Boland Scholarship is live!

Originally from AIESEC-Miami (of Ohio), she served at AIESEC United States as Vice President of Human Resources in 1992 –1993. Throughout her career in AIESEC, JoAnn focused on the development of AIESEC’s international leaders. She was an international leader herself and inspired others to follow in her footsteps. Tragically, JoAnn died in a car accident on February 22, 1994.

After her death, several AIESEC friends asked about creating a Scholarship Fund in her memory. In February 2000, they made this wish a reality.

The Fund

The JoAnn Boland International Scholarship Fund has been created in JoAnn’s memory. Contributions to this Fund will be dedicated to sponsoring local committee members’ attendance at International Leadership Development Conferences and Seminars. While this fund holds the name of a very special AIESECer, it has also been created as a dedicated avenue for AIESEC alumni to help sponsor the development of future AIESEC leaders. AIESEC provided many alumni with not only leadership skills and unique work/life experiences but also great memories and good friends. They now wish to help future AIESECers gain these experiences as well.

This scholarship applies to the Americas Congress in Bogota Colombia from April 3-7th 2024, and is currently only open to LCPs, EBs, ESTs, and any proxies.
